Producing producers to harness the medicine of local produce
Foodshed provides a hands-on training apprenticeship program to quickly bring up to speed aspiring farmers. San Diego has many underserved communities that lack access to high quality food. This program is intended to grow the farmers in the county whether they start their own project or go work for existing farm projects. The ultimate goal is for Foodshed to build the farm culture in San Diego by providing trainings, sales, and on going technical assistance to those who commit to Foodshed’s Farmer collective/network.
